#1. Game-changing ingredients: what’s new in sports nutrition?  (10:45, 5th July 2021)

Sports nutrition has found a vibrant mainstream future among two key groups, millennials and ‘healthy agers’. So, what’s next for this fast-moving category? Led by Will Chu, Science & Technology Editor, NutraIngredients, our thought leaders will discuss the industry’s changing landscape – from translating sports nutrition principles into practice to the latest innovation to meet consumers’ changing needs.

#2.  Lifting the lid on cocoa pods and politics (11:45, 5th July 2021) 

The global chocolate industry faces an existential threat: an ageing farming community, lack of investment and welfare initiatives causing concern with stakeholders. Hear how the national governments spend the 30-40% of the cocoa sale price they retain and what they could do to support sector development.

#4.  Future proteins: From lab meat to plant power: (14:45, 5th July 2021)

To feed a growing global population, our approach to proteins needs to change. But what does a sustainable future look like? In this lively panel discussion Katy Askew, Senior Editor, FoodNavigator will also highlight the positive case for animal agriculture and regenerative models.

#8.  Making your visit COVID safe: What you need to know

The Ingredients Show and its sister UK Food & Drink Shows have 'Visit Britain' 'We're Good To Go' accreditation. This confirms they meet Government and public health guidance on Covid-19 and have health and safety processes in place for safe July opening. As part of these measures, we will have wider aisles to help social distancing and smart crowd flow, to ensure safe interaction. Hand sanitisation stations will be in easy reach in all halls. We will be following government guidelines on facemasks and all our theatres will have socially distanced seating. See our website for full details.
